Tag-based
Tag-based systems can alert pedestrians with vibration and sound when a forklift truck is too close. They can also trigger the forklift to slow down. All pedestrians must be tagged.
Tagless
Tagless systems do not require pedestrians to wear tags. Cameras mounted on the trucks detect pedestrians as they approach the trucks, causing the trucks to slow down. This eliminates the need for pedestrians to wear tags, but only the truck operators receive an alert.
Combination of both
You can combine the two to "double up" on pedestrian detection. This takes advantage of both technologies and makes the solution more resilient.
